How We Met
We first met as friends through Rotaract, naturally becoming closer because we shared so many mutual friends. Dating each other was the last thing on either of our minds. Honestly, neither of us ever imagined we’d end up together.
Then Covid happened.
All our friends started staying up late playing Call of Duty, and that’s when Heshan and I began talking more. He would call me to join the game “just so he could practice his sniping skills”… which basically meant killing me over and over! Somewhere between those games and late-night conversations, we grew closer without even realizing it.
Our friend Geraldine became our unofficial chaperone. We would add her to our calls because it felt too awkward to talk alone. But she quickly caught on. She noticed how we felt about each other before we did, and decided to do something about it. She gently pushed Heshan to ask me out… and he finally did.
And now here you are, reading our story and getting an invite to our wedding.
From strangers, to friends, to best friends, to lovers and now, we’re about to begin forever together.
